Stars Hollow Is Coming to Forney: Gilmore Girls Fan Event Returns November 7
Coffee, small-town charm, and a little Friday night drama (hopefully without Emily Gilmore). Downtown Forney is getting the Stars Hollow treatment this weekend.
FORNEY, TX – Grab your favorite sweater, order another cup of coffee, and cancel your plans. Stars Hollow is coming to Forney, and no, Taylor Doose isn't running the show.
On Saturday, November 7, Bell Park in Downtown Forney will transform into a little slice of the fictional Connecticut town made famous by Gilmore Girls. The third annual A Night in Stars Hollow, hosted by Stash's Table & Fable, will take place from 5 to 9 p.m., bringing together fans of the beloved television series for an evening of shopping, entertainment, and small-town nostalgia.
And the best part? Admission is completely free.
From Downtown Forney to Stars Hollow
Anyone who's watched Gilmore Girls knows that Stars Hollow is more than just a town. It's a place where everybody knows everybody, the coffee never stops flowing, and even the most ordinary community gathering somehow becomes a major event.
Sound a little familiar?
Forney might be growing faster than Lorelai can finish a cup of coffee, but there's still plenty of that small-town spirit to go around.
For one evening, downtown businesses will take on the identities of familiar Gilmore Girls landmarks, including Luke's Diner, Doose's Market, and Miss Patty's. Fans can wander through the area and experience a little of the fictional town they've spent years watching on television.
Local vendors will also line the streets, offering shopping opportunities and treats throughout the evening.
It's the kind of event that would probably require at least three emergency town meetings if Taylor were involved.
Coffee, Shopping, and a Little Gilmore Girls Nostalgia
In addition to the themed downtown experience, organizers plan to screen a couple of fan-favorite episodes of the series.
Whether you've watched all seven seasons more times than you'd care to admit or you're just discovering the complicated world of Lorelai, Rory, and Emily Gilmore, there's something appealing about spending an evening surrounded by people who appreciate the show's quirky humor and cozy atmosphere.
The event also gives residents an opportunity to support local vendors and explore Downtown Forney in a different way.
Stash's Table & Fable, the local library-themed bistro located at 212 S. Bois D'Arc Street, is a particularly fitting host. After all, an evening celebrating Rory Gilmore wouldn't feel quite right without a few books nearby.
And while nobody can promise Luke Danes will be behind the counter pouring coffee, the event promises plenty of the community atmosphere that made his diner so memorable.
Free Admission and a Gilmore Girls Raffle
General admission to A Night in Stars Hollow is free, although attendees can reserve tickets online.
Organizers are also offering tickets for a Gilmore Girls-themed gift basket raffle. Individual raffle tickets cost $5, plus service fees, while a package of five costs $20, plus fees. An additional online transaction fee applies to paid ticket orders.
The event is open to families, friends, longtime fans, and anyone looking for something a little different to do in Forney on a Saturday evening.
